Sherry and Brandy de Jerez Wine Route

The Association which bears the name of “The Jerez Region Brandy and Sherry Wine Route” was created in 2006 for the promotion and development of wine tourism in those towns included in the Denomination of Origin Jerez-Xèrés-Sherry, Manzanilla de Sanlúcar y Vinagre de Jerez and the Specific Denomination Brandy de Jerez.

The Association establishes a proposed sphere of action in the Jerez Region, made up of those municipal areas included in the Denomination of Origin Jerez-Xèrés-Sherry, Manzanilla de Sanlúcar y Vinagre de Jerez and the Specific Denomination Brandy de Jerez which currently include the following: Chiclana de la Frontera, Chipiona, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Jerez de la Frontera, Lebrija, Puerto Real, Rota, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Trebujena.


The Association is non-profit making and has a legal character and full capacity to administer and make use of its assets in order to fulfil its objectives.

The general aim of the Association is to use ecotourism as a means of contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of all the Jerez Region, both in its urban and rural aspect.

In order to fulfil these aims the following activities, amongst others, will be carried out:

1- Promote and encourage a coordinated policy regarding tourism within the Jerez Region

2- Coordinate all tourist interlocutors within the Jerez Region so as to establish a policy of consensus in all actions, and promote the general awareness of society regarding oenoturism

3- Participate in the promotion of wine culture at both a national and international level

4- Promote and administer the establishment and development of those requirements needed, in terms of management and quality content, in order to create both the product and a Tourist Destination bearing the brand “Wine Route” for this wine-growing region.
